THE NAME “WALI” IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THE NAME OF A BAND

Wali band is a creative pop local music group formed on October 31, 1999 under the name Fierra. The band originally consisted of Faank (vocal), Apoy (guitar), Tomi (drum), Ovie (keyboardist), and Nunu (bass)
This time I will criticize a band called "guardian" for the first thing I criticize is the name they use for a band. In our opinion, in terms of music it should be universal.
The first for the name "Wali" is not suitable for the name of a band, because the name "Wali" itself has many arguments from every person's perspective. as in Islamic circles in Indonesia the name "Wali".
Secondly, the extensibility of music that they do the lyrics and tones in each song they create is less synchronous. For example, such as the lyrics taken from several verses of Islam, namely "Shalawatan" combined with a tone that is less synchronous with the lyrics of the song. Sometimes the lyrics they write are not appropriate like:
“udah tua masih aja males sholat lah... bocah ngapa ya”
“emang dasar... emang dasar.. eh dasar kamu bajingan”
It was explained that the lyrics did not match the word "old" which ended with the word "boy". because in the sense of "old" and "boy" itself has a difference. the lyrics do not indicate exactly who the lyrics in the song were.
And the last thing in terms of the band's creativity, "Wali" takes too many lyrics or words from the popular community.

Music Industry Is Now Very Comercial

The music industry is now very commercial
The music industry or music business sells compositions, recordings and musical performances. Among the many people and organizations operating in this industry are musicians who compose and display their music; companies and professionals who create and sell recorded music (eg music publishers, producers, studios, technicians, record labels, online and retail music stores, performance rights organizations); parties that display live music performances (talent agents, promoters, music stages, road crews); professionals who help musicians with their careers (talent managers, business managers, entertainment lawyers); parties that broadcast music (satellite and broadcast radio); journalist; teacher; music instrument manufacturer; and others.
Indonesian music is currently filled with many young bands carrying pop easy listening that are themed with love but that is what happens now because the market for love songs is being enjoyed a lot. And the music industry must be able to follow the market that is being enjoyed at every age.
The band is tied to the lable (management) of the music industry.
For those of you who have a band that is bound by the management (label music), those who are involved must choose for it, because of the needs of their work through music  that sometimes the band itself experiences saturation in playing bands (music) that are too long to succeed or famous.
They chose to enter music, because their band's wishes could be known by many people, their jobs (jobs) more, can play outside the city, and enter from the world of television, but in my opinion even though the results of concerts that they all have to divided by two. The results of 50% for music can be even more than 50% depending on management (lable music) itself and their lack of comfort in playing music because there must be demands from management (lable music).
-Their songs (band) must be demanded to follow the market of the music industry in time
- Idealism dead
-Not free in creating songs
-Attendance style that must follow management rules (lable music)
-Chased by the target of making an album
-even the flow of music must follow the existing market.
Therefore musicians prefer indie lines rather than having to enter music labels

Music Organizers Who Are "BLIND" About Royalty

source : http://www.jakarta100bars.com/2016/11/djakarta-warehouse-project-dwp.html

Music since ancient times has become one of the most popular entertainment facilities for people. People from all walks of life, not limited to social and economic status, education, age or gender status can enjoy music. Today people can popularize their work through many means, even without large capital. Unfortunately, because music is easily popularized, the easier it is for a sound artistry to be hijacked by irresponsible parties.

Indonesians still have very low awareness about the obligation to pay royalties to musicians. In fact, many individuals and business people who have consciously or unconsciously violated the rights of musicians. What is meant by royalties in this context? Royalties are money paid to musicians as a form of responsibility from those who use the song. Many music festival organizers or users of the work may ask why they have to pay this royalty, even though they have already paid for the artist in question to perform the song.

This royalty is actually a form of appreciation for songwriters in an economical form, because many cases of composers of music are very well-known songs sung by other artists, but themselves do not get financial benefits from the songs they created. Though this royalty is actually a right that must be accepted by the composer of a particular song during his lifetime, and remains attached to 70 years after his death. In Indonesia alone there are 3 institutions appointed as intermediaries to receive royalty payments from the payers to the composers concerned, namely WAMI, RAI, and KCI.

The number of organizers of music festivals and parties that use composers' works such as restaurants that play songs in their restaurants, malls, karaoke, even radio and other public places, makes the reception of royalties in Indonesia counted very small, namely one million US dollars in 2017. This figure is very small when compared to the USA whose revenues reached 1 billion US dollars in 2017. It's a fantastic difference. While regarding the amount of the deposit, it can be negotiated. Because, the most important thing is to build awareness of the event organizers first. Although, it is usually paid to WAMI, it is 2 percent of the price of the ticket or the price of the production of the event.

Until now, the organizers of major music festivals even though many still do not pay royalties, say Ismaya Group with a large event such as the Djakarta Warehouse Project which turned out to have just started paying royalties since 2017.

Judging from the case above, the music organizer should be aware that royalties are important, not just paying the artist who displays the work, but the organizer pays royalties to the author of the work by paying it to parties such as WAMI or KCI. Because these parties can protect and improve the work of songwriters.

Reported by hot.detik.com which tells about several reasons why Swara Gembira chose Chrisye as the person who was appointed at this performance, aside from a cause Chrisye's figure is well known, but also its held because of Chrisye's works are very interesting to bridge young people to get in knowing Indonesian music. Another reason is because of Chrisye's enthusiasm in fighting for Indonesian cultural arts as a host in her own country but still following the current development that happened during his lifetime. According to Chrisye's wife named Damayanti Noor, she felt very proud that this time it was the chance of the young generation to sing Chrisye songs. She was accepted Swara Gembira's offer because she was thought the concept which offered by them was different from other performances.

A live concerts like this, are very needed by the young generation of the nation continuer. Because through this event, some ancient songs that have a social values can be revived.
